Disposable camera photoshoot

I sent a disposable camera to each of my grandparents, and gave them a set of instructions for the shots I wanted them to get. The cameras had 27 shots, so I gave them instructions for half of them, and let them do whatever they wanted for the other half of the roll. I did this because I wanted to see what they thought I wanted, and I also wanted to see how they view the world. I thought it would also be interesting to see what subjects they chose, if they reflect what I expected, and if they got similar shots to each other despite not being in contact. Each of them had someone there to help them get the shots too, and I wanted to see how that would affect the photos they got. I made sure to use colour film so I could get the most information, then if I decide black and white suits my project more then I can change that later. I drew thumbnails for what I expected from my prompts, so I could compare them later.

Most of the images were nothing like what I had expected, but in a way I'm glad this happened as it shows their personalities and the way that each of my grandparents see the world. I really like the grain on the film, although I had to lighten the shadows a lot for some of Grandpa's shots because he didn't use the flash, which makes the grain a little too intense. I wish the portrait shots were closer, as both of my grandparents did full-body instead of bust like I wanted, but I think that's my own fault for not communicating what I wanted properly. Below are my favourites:
And here they are edited:
